Being self employed requires a great degree of discipline and organization and while it’s not always easy, for the most part we know we have the greatest job in the world because we love what we do!

Leigh-Ann Johnson has managed projects for Katim since 1997 and purchased the company in 2006. As owner of the company she brings not only her expertise from the years of experience working in the field but also an extensive educational background. With a BA in Geography and an Honours Degree in Outdoor Recreation and Tourism from Lakehead University, Leigh-Ann also spent two years at Royal Roads University working towards her MA in Environment and Management.

Mike Smyth married into the business and works in various supporting but crucial roles to assist the company in the field, at the shop and in the office.

Joshua was born into the business and he does his best to keep the shovels clean and the pens missing off his parents’ desks!
